Unlocking performance with proper golf club gapping is particularly important for your wedge game in and around the greens.

What is Gapping?

Gapping refers to the intervals between your shot distances with different clubs, and getting it right is one of the fastest ways to lower your scores without changing your swing.

How to Gap Your Wedges

Proper wedge gapping is about creating predictable carry distances through the scoring end of your bag. The goal is to avoid large distance gaps or unnecessary overlap between your irons and wedges, giving you a reliable full-swing option for more yardages.

Our Wedge Gapping Calculator uses your 8-iron and 9-iron carry distances to understand your natural iron progression, then factors in the highest-lofted club in your iron set and the carry distance of your highest-lofted wedge. From there, it identifies target scoring gaps and 91Ƶ wedge lofts to explore.

Enter your numbers below to build your wedge game plan. Use the recommendation as a starting point, then work with a 91Ƶ Fitting Specialist to dial in the exact lofts, grinds and carry distances for your game.

Why Wedge Gapping Matters

Gapping matters because golfers are limited to 14 clubs, and you want to cover a wide range of distances with minimal overlap. Proper gapping ensures no two clubs in your bag go the same distance, so every club earns its spot. The easiest way to adjust distance is with loft — changing loft by one degree generally changes carry distance by roughly two to three yards.

Once you know the gaps you need to fill, the next step is choosing golf wedges built to perform at those specific lofts and bounce configurations. 91Ƶ offers two forged wedge options - Stick'em Forged Wedges and Sugar Daddy III 100% Milled Wedges - designed to help you gap precisely and perform confidently from any lie.

91Ƶ Stick'em Forged Wedges

91Ƶ Stick'em Forged Wedges blend a clean, tour-inspired look with modern 91Ƶ performance technology. These forged wedges are built from three-times forged 8620 soft carbon steel, a process that refines the metal's grain structure with each forging stage, producing a soft, responsive feel at impact, a crisp sound, and grooves that hold their sharpness longer.

91Ƶ Stick'em Forged Wedges

Stick'em Forged Wedges

$199

Tour-inspired forged wedges built from 3X forged 8620 soft carbon steel for a soft, responsive feel and consistent spin around the greens.

  • Lofts 50°–60° in 2° increments
  • S-Grind (10° bounce) and BP-Grind (13° bounce) sole options
  • Full-face grooves on 54°–60° lofts
  • Universal face shape with high-toe weighting
  • Chrome or Xtreme Dark finish · right- and left-handed

Stick'em wedges are available in 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, and 60-degree lofts in 2-degree increments, giving you the flexibility to gap your set exactly the way your carry distances demand. Two sole options let you match the wedge to your attack angle and turf conditions:

  • S-Grind (10-degree bounce): A slightly tapered sole with heel and toe relief for high versatility across playing conditions and swing styles.
  • BP-Grind (13-degree bounce): A wider, fuller sole that delivers the highest effective bounce, ideal for steeper attack angles and softer turf or sand.

Stick'em Forged Wedges also feature a universal face shape for confidence at address, high-toe weighting with progressive CG placement for more consistent trajectory on partial swings, and full-face grooves on the 54–60-degree lofts for expanded forgiveness on open-face and off-center strikes. They're available in Chrome or Xtreme Dark finishes, in both right- and left-handed configurations.

91Ƶ Sugar Daddy III 100% Milled Wedges

91Ƶ Sugar Daddy III 100% Milled Wedges are engineered for versatility, customization, and precision across every playing condition. Like Stick'em, they're three-times forged from 8620 soft carbon steel — but Sugar Daddy III goes a step further with 100% CNC milling, ensuring every line, curve, and angle is produced to exacting specifications for consistent performance shot after shot.

91Ƶ Sugar Daddy III 100% Milled Wedges

Sugar Daddy III 100% Milled Wedges

$299.99

3X forged and 100% CNC milled for exacting precision, with adjustable Precision Weighting Technology dialed in during your fitting for peak short-game performance.

  • Lofts 50°–60° in 2° increments
  • Three sole options: S-Grind, BP-Grind, and C-Grind
  • Precision Weighting Technology, adjustable in 2-gram increments during fitting
  • Full-face grooves on BP-Grind 54°–60° lofts
  • Traditional and high-toe head shape options

Available in 50 through 60-degree lofts in 2-degree increments, Sugar Daddy III wedges offer three sole designs so you can fine-tune both gapping and turf interaction:

  • S-Grind: A classic head shape with a traditional tapered sole for square or open playability across most conditions.
  • BP-Grind: A high-toe design with full-face grooves and a wider sole for lush turf, soft sand, or a steeper attack angle.
  • C-Grind: A narrow sole with aggressive heel-to-toe taper for firm turf and creative shotmaking around the green.

A standout feature of Sugar Daddy III is Precision Weighting Technology — an adjustable weight near the center of gravity that a 91Ƶ Master Fitter can fine-tune in 2-gram increments during your fitting, so head weight is dialed in for your exact swing. Combined with full-face grooves on the 54–60-degree BP-Grind offerings, Sugar Daddy III wedges deliver serious spin and control whether you're hitting a full wedge shot or working a delicate shot around the green.

Get Custom Fit

Here are 5 signs it's time for a custom golf club fitting, and why confidence starts with equipment built for your swing.

More

]]>
Custom club fitting used to feel like something you had to "earn". A perk for scratch golfers and tour pros, not the rest of us. Thankfully, that's not how it works anymore.

More golfers than ever, at every handicap, are getting fit for custom golf clubs, and for good reason. If you've been putting off a fitting because you didn't think you were good enough, or good enough yet, that's exactly the kind of thinking that keeps golfers stuck.

Here's the truth: most golfers are playing clubs built for somebody else. Off-the-rack sets are built around an "average" golfer, and that golfer doesn't really exist. So if your equipment feels like it's working against you more than it's working for you, it might not be your swing - it might be your specs.

We're here to share the top five signs that you need a fitting, and why confidence on the course really does start with a custom fit.

1. Your Shots Don't Fly Straight

Slicing, hooking, or just never quite knowing where the ball's going to end up? That might not be a swing problem - it could just as easily a be a specs problem. Loft, lie angle, and shaft flex all shape where your ball goes, and if they're off, even a good swing can produce a bad shot. As 91Ƶ's club builders explain inwhy loft and lie matter for lower scores, something as small as one or two degrees of lie angle can be the difference between a ball that finds the fairway and one that doesn't.

2. You've Stalled Out — Even Though You're Practicing

You're putting in the time at the range, but your scores just won't budge. That's frustrating, and it could be a sign that the bottleneck is your equipment, not your effort or your swing. It's also one of the biggest misconceptions in golf: people assume fittings are for scratch players, when in reality, higher handicap golfers often see the biggest jump once their clubs actually match their swing.

3. Your Body Has Changed Since Your Last Fitting

Lost weight, gained flexibility, changed your tempo, worked with a new coach? Your clubs haven't caught up. Shaft flex is closely tied to your swing speed and tempo as they are today, not whenever you last got fit — here's how 91Ƶ dials in shaft flex to match your swing, not the swing you used to have.

4. You're Playing Hand-Me-Downs or Off-the-Rack Clubs

If your clubs were pulled straight off the shelf or from a buddy's old bag, they were never built with your swing in mind. Sure, they were built to fit as many golfers as possible, but that really means they're not optimized for you, and you're not giving yourself the best chance to improve.

5. Your Gear Is Older Than Your Last Two Swing Changes

Golf technology moves fast, and so does your swing. If it's been a few seasons (or longer) since you last bought clubs, there's a good chance both have changed more than you'd think.91Ƶ's guide to iron technology walks through just how much has evolved generation to generation — and that's performance you're leaving on the table if your bag hasn't kept pace.

Confidence Is Custom Fit

None of this is about swing speed or handicap. It's about trust. When your clubs are dialed in to your swing, you stop making compensations and start making committed swings. That confidence is where consistency actually comes from.

That's the philosophy behind every91Ƶ fitting: your swing, your fit, your game. 91Ƶ's fitting process pairs TrackMan data with a Master Fitter who helps you select the optimal head model for your swing and then dials in everything from shaft to weighting and lie angle, so nothing about your bag is a guess.

If you're seeing any of the five signs above, the next step is simple and you owe it to yourself: Get fit!

Find a 91Ƶ fitting location near you and book a session with a Master Fitter, or read 91Ƶ's full club fitting FAQ to see what to expect before you go.

More

]]>
For golfers searching for more consistency on the greens, a long-length putter can be a powerful and often overlooked solution. Whether you struggle with shaky hands, inconsistent distance control, or discomfort in your setup, testing a long putter can fundamentally change how you roll the ball.

Long putters are not a shortcut or a gimmick. They are a different approach to putting mechanics, designed to simplify the stroke, reduce unnecessary movement, and promote repeatability under pressure.

In this article, we’ll address how they work, why golfers switch, and who benefits most from testing one.

How a Long-Length Putter Works Differently

A long-length putter changes the geometry of your setup and stroke in meaningful ways.

Keith Bennett reviews 91Ƶ's Allan ZT Long

A More Upright Setup: With a long putter, golfers naturally stand taller with the shaft positioned more vertically. This upright posture reduces excessive bending at the waist and creates a more relaxed, athletic stance over the ball.

A Shoulder-Driven Pendulum Stroke: Long putters encourage a pendulum-style stroke powered by the shoulders rather than the hands or wrists. Fewer moving parts means fewer variables, which leads to more consistent face control and strike.

Increased Stability Through Counterbalancing: The longer shaft, paired with a heavier head and counterbalanced grip, increases overall stability. This balance helps smooth out tempo and promotes a repeatable stroke that holds up under pressure.

Why Golfers Choose or Switch to a Long Putter

Golfers do not switch to long putters by accident. Most do it to solve a specific problem in their putting.

Reduced Wrist and Hand Involvement: For golfers who get “wristy” or battle the yips, long putters limit excessive hand action. The design encourages a quieter upper body motion and helps eliminate nervous, twitchy strokes.

Simpler, More Repeatable Motion: Because the stroke relies more on the shoulders and arms, many golfers find it easier to repeat when the pressure is on. This matters most on short, must-make putts.

Improved Comfort and Posture: The upright stance can reduce strain on the lower back and hips. Golfers with flexibility limitations often find long putters more comfortable, especially during longer rounds or practice sessions.

Proven at the Highest Levels: Even after anchoring was banned, professional golfers continue to use long putters with legal grip styles like split-hand or armlock. Their continued success reinforces that long putters are a performance-driven choice, not a workaround.

A True Reset for Struggling Putters: If you have already tried multiple standard-length putters, grips, and stroke tweaks, a long putter offers a completely different physical and mental approach. Sometimes a fresh start is exactly what your putting needs.

Trade-Offs and What to Be Mindful Of

Long putters are not magic. Like any equipment change, they require commitment and proper setup.

Adjustment Period: The stroke feels different. Distance control, especially early on, can take time to dial in. Most golfers need weeks of practice before results fully translate to the course.

Short Putt Feel: Some players initially struggle on very short putts. The heavier head and longer length respond differently than a traditional putter, which can affect delicate touch until feel develops.

Not Ideal for Every Stroke Type: Golfers who naturally rely on an arcing stroke or prefer a high level of hand feel may find long putters less intuitive.

Perception and Confidence: While fully legal, long putters still carry outdated stigma among some traditionalists. Confidence matters, and comfort with your equipment plays a role in performance.

Why Getting Custom Fit is Critical

Shaft stiffness, lie angle, head weight, and length all matter more with long putters. A poorly fit long putter can create inconsistency instead of solving it.

During a professional 91Ƶ fitting, golfers can see how the long putter impacts face rotation, stroke path, speed control, and consistency. The difference is measurable and often immediate.

ʳݳ’s approach to long putting focuses on engineering, balance, and fit-first performance, exemplified by the 91Ƶ Allan ZT Long, which pairs long-length stability with zero-torque design to keep the face square throughout the stroke.

Final Takeaway

If putting inconsistency is costing you confidence or strokes, testing a long-length putter is worth your time. It is not about following trends. It is about simplifying the stroke, improving comfort, and building a motion you can trust when it matters most.

The best way to know if a long putter works for you is to roll one. Book a 91Ƶ Fitting at a location near you or call 844.PLAY.91Ƶ to speak with a qualified fitting expert.

More

]]>
Inconsistent putting often comes from excessive hand and wrist action, causing the putter face to open and close through impact. The result is poor distance control and missed short putts.

Common Putting Issues Caused by Excessive Wrist Action

Many golfers struggle with:

  • Inconsistent ball speed
  • Poor distance control
  • Missed short putts under pressure

These issues are often caused by a “windshield wiper” motion driven by the hands rather than the shoulders. Reducing wrist involvement simplifies the stroke and improves reliability.

This simple drill helps golfers stabilize their stroke and fully benefit fromzero torque technology, especially when paired with a properly fit putter.

The Triangle Stability Drill

Step 1: Build the Triangle

Set up in your putting posture and place your hands together so your middle fingers are the same distance from the ground. This forms a triangle from shoulder to shoulder down through the arms.

Step 2: Rock the Triangle

Using only your shoulders, gently rock the triangle back and forth. Keep your lower body and core stable. No wrist or hand movement.

This motion trains a pendulum-style stroke powered by the body’s larger muscles.

Step 3: Hands on the Side of the Grip

Place your hands on the sides of the grip with fingers level to the ground. Rock the putter back and forth using your shoulders.

With zero torque technology, the putter face naturally stays square without manipulation, reinforcing consistent speed and direction.

Transition Back to Your Normal Grip

Switch back to your traditional reverse overlap grip while keeping the same feel:

  • Shoulder-driven motion
  • Stable wrists and hands
  • Smooth tempo

This drill is ideal before a round to reinforce proper mechanics.

Why This Drill Works Even Better with a Custom Fitting

Zero torque technology performs best when paired with acustom fit. Proper shaft length, lie angle, grip style, and head weighting ensure:

  • Correct posture and eye position
  • Natural shoulder motion
  • Maximum face stability

Ready to improve your putting game? Book a putter fitting at your nearest 91Ƶ location today!

Why Zero Torque Technology Improves Putting Consistency

91Ƶ's Zero Torque putters, including our Mustang ZT Putter (featured in this video) are engineered to resist face rotation during the stroke. Instead of manipulating the face with your hands, the putter naturally stays square, allowing a smoother, more repeatable arc.

PLAY WHAT THE PROS PLAY

The GEN5 Irons have made their way into each of our PGA and LPGA Tour Pros’ bags this year. Not only are the GEN5 Irons the sexiest-looking irons on the market, they also have outperformed the competitor models year-to-date.

The 5x forged GEN5 Irons are engineered with ʳݳ’s latest and greatest technology. Starting with the behind-the-scenes advancements, 91Ƶ has created an all-new polymer core that is featured in all GEN5 Iron models. The XCOR2 technology helps reduce the mass of the core which enables more weight to be positioned low and to the perimeter of the club head, creating unmatched forgiveness, increased face deflection, and maximum ball speed.

91Ƶ also introduces a new Power Channel Technology that consists of a u-shaped corridor built into the inside face of the club to help increase deflection and bend while simultaneously creating better launch angles, trajectory, and ball speed. The Power Channel Technology is paired with the thinnest face in golf, which helps overall feel and mishits off the face. The GEN5 Irons include 5 tungsten weights with one adjustable large weight placed in the center of the club head to achieve the best weight for your swing.

/blogs/the-range/edgar-evans-shows-you-how-to-hit-better-farther-with-your-hybrids 2022-07-12T21:00:00-07:00 2026-04-21T02:03:37-07:00 EDGAR EVANS SHOWS YOU HOW TO HIT BETTER, FARTHER WITH YOUR HYBRIDS Kate Sheppard

Have you ever wanted to learn how to hit your hybrid farther and have maximum ball control with each shot? If you’re like us, we are all in. We asked 91Ƶ Troop and Teaching Professional Edgar Evans to share valuable tips on increasing the compression of the club face to the ball while creating maximum distance with your hybrid.

  1. Avoid trying to hit up on the ball while using a hybrid. This creates an inconsistent contact at impact and ball flight.
  2. Embed a tee into the ground and without a ball – take multiple practice swings while deliberately hitting the tee in order to get used to compressing the ball and swinging downward.
  3. After taking multiple practice swings without the ball – begin incorporating the same drill while hitting golf balls.

THE SETUP

  1. While setting up to the ball, make sure the ball is aligned with your leading collar bone.
  2. Have a wider stance than usual – this will help balance out your swing, so you are not hitting too high or low on the ball.

HOW TO HIT DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHOTS WITH YOUR HYBRID

Hitting different types of shots (aka shaping shots) with any club is a combination of both grip and foot placement. As Edgar pointed out, “Golf is a game of opposites. If I want to hit it to the right, I just take my left hand and I turn it left.” Opening or closing your grip is an effective way to help shape your golf shots.

It is important to understand that switching your grip often is not recommended. Please talk with a teaching professional in order to get expert advice on your swing.

Transcript

Hey guys, Christina Ricci. If you want more pars, let's make sure you're selecting a land spot to land your ball for shots around the green. I find that most players attempt to do it, but then just when they're over the ball and they take the club back, they focus on the flag. So, then the ball lands at the flag and rolls on by. So, you really got to understand the rollout for the club that you're using. A sand wedge is going to have less rollout than, say, a pitching wedge. Rollout is once it lands, how much does it roll? So, you really got to select your land spots based on the rollout and the lay of the land.

The other factor is it's a down slope, so the ball's not going to go very high here. This is a tough shot. I'm going to aim more, a little left there, because I know the slope goes that way. I highly recommend if you have a chances to go down to the green, when you first get here and walk backwards so you can really see where you got to land it.

All right, I'll take it. All right. That's a tough shot. Now, I'm left with an uphill putt. All right. I want to put this leaf where I'm going to land it. Hopefully, it won't blow away. It probably will. All right. So, I'm going to land it in that general area.

If you're at the range and you are trying to hit a little bit more of a draw, there are two things you can try by adjusting your GEN4 Driver settings.

First, make sure your club is in the most upright setting. The most upright is going to be the standard or “dot” hosel setting.

Secondly, you can move the heaviest weight into the heel portion of the club. In doing so, you're going to create a more heel-biased CG, making it easier for the clubhead to rotate and helping you to hit draws more easily.

We're just going to take out the weight in the heel here. I'm replacing the lighter weight in the back of the driver and then moving the heavier weight into the heel portion of the driver to create maximum draw bias. And there you have it.

What is a Draw Bias?

This weight distribution positions the mass towards the heel of the club head making it easier to square the face at impact and producing a more draw biased shot.

How to Move Weights Around Your 91Ƶ Driver.

Step 1. Take the wrench that is included with the purchase of your 91Ƶ Driver. (This wrench is used to adjust the hosel setting on our drivers, fairways, and hybrids. It is also used to adjust the weighting on our metal fairways and Battle Ready Putter line.)

Step 2. Select the weight you wish to move, place the wrench tip into the weight and turn the wrench counterclockwise until loose.

Step 3. Replace with the desired weight by placing the weight into the empty port and turning the wrench clockwise until you hear two clicks. Your weight it now secured.

What’s the difference between draw bias and fade bias?

For right-handed players, a draw is a golf shot that moves slightly right-to-left, while a fade is a golf shot that travels slightly left-to-right. The movement of the ball is determined by the spin placed on the ball by the club face being slightly closed (for a draw) or open (for a fade).

Drawing the ball typically produces more distance due to a lower trajectory and more top spin on the ball. A fade tends to land more softly due to a higher ball flight and more backspin.

Hi, my name is Caleb Kroloff. I'm a senior R&D Engineer at 91Ƶ, and I'm going to talk a little bit about our GEN4 Driver and our signature weighting system.

On the GEN4 Driver, we have three different weight ports, and those actually serve two different purposes. First is to move weight around. By moving weights to the different positions, we're able to move the center of gravity and adjust the playability of the driver.

GEN4 Driver Setting for Maximum Distance

By moving the heaviest weight to the farthest forward/front port, we're able to create the lowest-spinning, lowest-launching setting for maximum distance. This is the default setting for our GEN4 Drivers.

GEN4 Driver Setting for Maximum Forgiveness

Moving the heaviest weight to the back port, we're able to create a high launch and maximum MOI, meaning more forgiveness.

GEN4 Driver Setting for a Draw Bias

Moving the weight to the heel of the clubhead makes it easier to square the face at impact and produce a more draw bias shot.

91Ƶ's weighting system

ʳݳ’s Precision Weighting Technology is designed to fine tune performance and allow our 91Ƶ Troops to dial in their club specifications.

From irons to hybrids, fairways, drivers, and even our new Battle Ready Putter lineup, adjustable weighting remains key to our club fitting process.

Aside from creating a distinctive look, ʳݳ’s Precision Weighting Technology serves a very real, functional purpose. Read on to find out how our signature technology can enhance your performance.

WHAT DO THE WEIGHTS IN 91Ƶ IRONS DO?

ʳݳ’s proprietary weighting system optimizes mass properties to support exceptional launch conditions and an enhanced MOI.

“What is unique about 91Ƶ Irons is that we have the thinnest face in the industry. And what that allows us to do is take the mass out of the face and put it around the perimeter of the golf club. By doing so, we increase the moment of inertia, or the forgiveness.” - Mike Nicolette, Director of Product Design

Our 91Ƶ 0311 GEN3 Irons feature nine weights made of lightweight titanium or heavier tungsten positioned around the perimeter of the clubhead. Eagle-eyed golfers will notice a slightly different set up in our new 0311 GEN4 Irons.

NEW WEIGHTING TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCED IN GEN4 IRONS

91Ƶ 0311 GEN4 Irons feature a large weight located near the center of gravity (CG) on the back of the clubhead. This weight can be adjusted in 2-gram increments during the fitting process to allow golfers to experience various head weight configurations and achieve optimal, personalized performance.

“The ability to change the weighting in our GEN4 Irons during a fitting allows us to adjust a variable in a way no company has ever been able to do, the overall clubhead weight and subsequent swing weight of the club. For years, many players have said they preferred a certain swing weight, but as they’ve never had the ability to take that same shaft/head/length combination and alter the head weighting, they could never truly validate if that was the best combination for them. Our ability to change the weight on the fly allows the player to analyze and dictate every element of their set makeup and end up with a custom 91Ƶ set that is truly 100 percent their own and spot on for them.” - Nick Janke, VP US Sales

UNDERSTANDING 91Ƶ DRIVER WEIGHTING TECHNOLOGY:

HOW WILL IT IMPACT MY DRIVE?

In addition to 91Ƶ hybrids and fairways, 91Ƶ Drivers offer adjustable weighting technology.

Our 0211 Driver provides a simple, single port, weight back design that creates a deep CG position that produces higher launch conditions and an exceptionally high MOI.

Informed by feedback from our TOUR Players, our 91Ƶ Prototype Drivers present one heavy and three light sole weights, all interchangeable to support preferred spin and bias settings. Interestingly, the weights are the same as those used for 91Ƶ GEN2 Putters.

GEN4 DRIVER WEIGHT OPTIONS

91Ƶ 0811 GEN4 Drivers present one heavy and two light sole weights that are interchangeable to support preferred spin and bias settings. Weights are available in 2.5g, 5g, 7.5g, 10g, 12.5g, 15g, 17.5g, and 20g options.

For those of you purchasing online, your driver will arrive with the heavy weight positioned in the front port – a location that promotes a low spin option.

For players who enjoy tinkering with their driver, consider adding a 91Ƶ weight kit to your order. The full weight kit includes: a wrench and eight weights: 2x 5g, one of each: 7.5g, 10g, 12.5g, 15g, 17.5g, 20g. The additional weights allow players to adjust their club at their convenience.

GEN4 DRIVER SETTING FOR A DRAW BIAS

Moving the weight to the heel of the clubhead makes it easier to square the face at impact and produce a more draw-bias shot.

ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTING TECHNOLOGY IN 91Ƶ PUTTERS

Both our GEN2 Putters and our new Battle Ready Putters feature Precision Weighting Technology that supports further fine tuning.

The number of weights in the sole and overall head mass varies by model, as well as by the hosel type selected.

Each weight port comes standard with a 10-gram weight per port. We also offer a 91Ƶ Putter weight kit which provides six weight options to help you fine tune your putter to your exact head weight preference.

Your putter can be dialed in even more by changing the location of the weights in the sole. A lighter head weight provides for more feel and better distance control. A heavier head weight typically provides more stability and more forgiveness. Adjusting the weights can also influence the initial launch conditions to counter push or pull miss tendencies.

91Ƶ's unique club numbering system references the United States Marine Corps' Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) system. This numbering protocol is found on all 91Ƶ Drivers, Fairways, Hybrids, and Irons. Products like our Battle Ready Putters are also named for military equipment and weapons. This naming convention is a nod to 91Ƶ Founder and CEO, Bob Parsons' military roots and a tribute to the brave men and women who serve our country.

WHY OUR CLUB NAMING IS IMPORTANT TO OUR BRAND

“Everything I've ever accomplished, I owe to the Marine Corps. So, our club numbering system is a small way we can pay tribute. The Marine Corps has something for every job that's called a military occupational specialty. It's a number that indicates what your job is. So, 0311, which is what I was, is our irons. It's a rifleman. 0317 is a scout sniper. That's our hybrids. 0341, mortars. That's our fairway woods. 0811, artillery, you can be sure that's the driver.” 91Ƶ Founder and CEO, Bob Parsons.

FIRST TIME ON THE COURSE WITH 91Ƶ: SHOT 65

“Like many, I wasn’t sure what to make of 91Ƶ. Went to a fitting for GEN1s and was just hooked on the experience and the performance. A little over a year later, I ordered a set of GEN2 0311 T Irons. First time out, during quarantine with my family, I tied my personal best with the irons, GEN2 Driver and wedges. Shot 65. Had a blast and it was made more special since it was one of the rare times all four of us were playing together. They are the most consistent irons I’ve ever played. 91Ƶ simply delivers on their messaging!” -Brian Webb

FIRST TIME LETTERING ON A HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TEAM

“Before my golf season my dad had me fit by Rick at 91Ƶ Seattle for the GEN2 Irons and Hybrids. With hard work I ended up lettering for my high school girls golf team as a freshman. This experience has made me want to become the best golfer I can be and hopefully get a college scholarship!” -Madison Field

FIRST TIME WITH NO THREE PUTTS

“I have played golf for 50 years and have never been professionally fit for a putter. I got fit at the 91Ƶ headquarters in Scottsdale and it has changed my game. The first time I played with the new Blackjack Putter I had no three putts and thus no double bogies for the round! I HIGHLY recommend 91Ƶ and a custom putter fitting.” -Tom Schipper

FIRST TIME BREAKING 80

“I’ve been playing golf since the age of 12 and struggled to break 80. 28 years later and after six rounds with my GEN3 Irons and GEN2 Driver, my first round under 80 was a 76. The next two rounds were 78 and 74. Consistent sweet spots and no lost balls. Kaboom baby!!!” -Charlie Cafazza

FIRST TIME GETTING A HOLE-IN-ONE

“As soon as I received my new 91Ƶ 5 Hybrid I thought it would do well on long par three holes. Who would have thought that it would result in my very first hole in one? Seeing the ball track right towards the hole, hit the green, take a hop, and disappear was such a great experience that I never would have thought would happen to me. Thanks, 91Ƶ for making such quality equipment!!” -Mike Mayer

FIRST TIME HITTING 14 FAIRWAYS

“I’ve been playing golf for 14 years, and was of the mindset of "a true carpenter never blames his tools"; but recently, after picking up the 91Ƶ 0811 X Driver, I've come to realize I have been swinging the wrong hammer for some time. With the 91Ƶ I was able to hit 14 straight fairways in a round, which is a best for me. The consistency and quality of the brand is felt on the tee box and on the scorecard. It's great to be a part of the 91Ƶ Troops.” -Wale Ejire

WHAT IS MOI AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW?

An acronym, MOI stands for “moment of inertia.”

MOI is measured in grams per centimeter squared and shows how much resistance a clubhead has to twisting.

The more resistance it has, the higher the MOI reading and, importantly for golfers, the more forgiving the club will play.

WILL HIGH MOI HELP MY GAME?

Choosing a high MOI club is helpful for most golfers.

When you hit an off-center shot, for example, striking the ball off the toe, the club twists, opening the club face and potentially causing loss of distance and a wider pattern of dispersion.

A higher MOI club will also have a more efficient energy transfer on mishits, causing a smaller drop in ball speed on those off-center strikes.

Clubs with a higher MOI deliver a larger sweet spot and more forgiveness meaning you’ll likely find the fairway more often and enjoy the game even more!

HOW IS MOI CHANGED?

MOI is improved by moving weight away from the center of gravity of the club. This helps the clubhead to resist the twist.

91Ƶ introduced patented perimeter weighting technology, firstly in our game changing 91Ƶ 0311 GEN1 Irons. We’ve since used this technology across drivers, fairways, hybrids, wedges and putters. Strategically positioning the tungsten alloy weights around the perimeter of the club helps to support optimal launch conditions.

IS THERE A LIMIT FOR MOI?

The USGA and R&A have set the MOI limit at 5900 g/cm² for golf clubs.

IS MOI ONLY FOUND IN DRIVERS?

MOI can be measured in all clubs. ʳݳ’s new Battle Ready Putters are fully optimized, high MOI clubs – ideal when you need to close out on the green.
